Service Description
This is a beginner class for needle-turn hand appliqué using the back- basting method. This classic method uses no glue, mini-irons or special templates or papers. In each class, Pam will demonstrate and coach students in their next steps to complete their Sunflowers block. Homework will be assigned; to finish that particular phase before the next class. (For example, stitching the stems and leaves before the next class.) Class cost: $75 for three (4-hour) classes plus required $50 kit (see below) Class dates and times: Friday, Jan 24, 10 to 2 Friday, Feb 28, 10 to 2 Friday, Mar 28, 10 to 2 Kit cost: $50 Kit includes: all fabrics for block, 2 packs of appliqué needles, Coat’s Outdoor Thread for basting, micron fine point pen, and full-size pattern. Also needed: Small, very sharp, serrated-to-the-point scissors Medium sewing scissors Fine (glass head type) pins A light board or box (recommended, but not required) Cotton Thread for Needle Turn Applique 50 wt multiple colors to match fabric in kit
